Our Procurement Modern Apprenticeship will give you the practical experience and qualifications you need to help you secure a career. So, if you are leaving school or you have already left, are aged 16-24 (prior to 30th September 2019) or if you are disabled or care experienced and aged between 16-29 years (prior to the 30th September 2019), you may be eligible to apply if you meet the rest of the essential criteria. Working within the Corporate Procurement Team you will participate in a variety of tasks which will compliment your learning. An essential part of this apprenticeship will be to gain valuable on the job skills and training and to complete a Modern Apprenticeship SVQ Level 3 in Procurement and Supply Chain, therefore, knowledge of the content of this award would be desirable. At the end of the apprenticeship, the individual will have developed a range of transferable skills related to procurement which will enhance their prospects in today's competitive job market.
A minimum of 4 standard grades, at bands 1-3, or 4 National 5s band A-C (including English) or equivalent is essential. In addition to good IT skills, it is essential you are articulate, enthusiastic and possess good written communication skills.
You will be an enthusiastic and self motivated individual who is seeking a career in Procurement. You must be able to give practical examples of when and how you have demonstrated team work. You should have an awareness of and a general interest in Procurement and working in an office environment, therefore, previous office work experience would be advantageous. It is essential that you have a positive approach to completing your Modern Apprenticeship qualification.
