This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the planning and delivery of the council’s new supply programme which aims to deliver 5,000 new homes by 2035.  Due to an expansion of the New Supply team, we have a vacancy for a Project Delivery Manager.

You will play a key role within the New Supply team and be responsible for the procurement of contractors/consultants to deliver the new build programme to meet targets (approx. 200 – 300 units per annum) and ensure best value, in accordance with council contract standing orders and procurement procedures. 

The Project Delivery Manager (New Supply) will report directly to the Housing Development Manager and is responsible for the delivery of the council’s new supply programme. This will involve the management of a multi-disciplinary team, consultants, and contractors to ensure the effective procurement and delivery of the programme

A key role will be working collaboratively as part of the Service Management Team to support the delivery of the council’s priority outcomes, implement the council’s business plan and continue to improve services to reflect the needs of local communities and stakeholders.

You should be educated to SVQ 4/HND/Degree equivalent in a relevant discipline and have substantial experience at a senior level, managing technical aspects of a Housing or related field. as well as experience of the development of housing initiatives, policies and procedures and managing staff or consultants and budgets.   You should also have substantial experience of procuring contracts within the housing construction field

Experience of project management and delivery of new build housing projects is desirable as is chartered membership of a relevant professional body such as RICS or RIAS.

The New Supply team currently operate a hybrid working model of home-working and office-based working at the Civic Centre offices in Motherwell.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip.  You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
