NLC10-12 £34,202 - £44,690 per year (appointment beyond salary point £39,610 will be dependent on the post holder having full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)

The Council is seeking a skilled and highly motivated person to work within one of the key project teams within North Lanarkshire Council, Asset Management.

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen to support the delivery of our large-scale Ambition Plan for rationalisation and future investment of our property estate.

As a Property Surveyor, you will be part of a team who are responsible for the provision of asset valuations, insurance reinstatement cost assessments , rating valuation , identification of surplus assets and property performance management together with other tasks related to effective asset management practices.

An excellent communicator, you will be educated to Degree level, or equivalent in a Property Surveying or related discipline and be a member of the RICS (or be eligible to apply), with considerable relevant work experience and should have considerable to substantial experience in valuation of rental and capital values for asset register purposes.

With excellent organisational and IT skills, you will be able to utilise various Microsoft Office packages and have extensive knowledge Property Valuation Systems, AutoCAD and GIS. You will be familiar with property management systems and the provision of property condition surveys.

You will require a full driving licence to undertake the role and must be able to travel throughout North Lanarkshire and out with this area to undertake the duties of this post.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip.  You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
