Administrative Assistant

£21,266 – £22,343 pro rata (including Distant Islands Allowance)

We require an Administrative Assistant to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service within Orkney Health and Care. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operational Manager and the Administration Support Manager to ensure that a high level of clerical support is provided.

Your main duties will include receptionist duties, updating and maintaining statistical information, creating appointments for service users using the TrakCare system and wide-ranging administrative duties.

You will already have experience of working as an effective team member within an Administration team, excellent administration and computer skills, ideally using Microsoft Office Applications.

You will need to be able to work under pressure to strict deadlines, use your own initiative, maintain confidentiality and be able to work unsupervised. We are looking for a good communicator with excellent organisational skills as you will be part of a team liaising with members of the public, service users, families, external agencies and professionals.

You will hold a minimum of an SVQ2 in Business Administration or have an equivalent level qualification in a relevant subject, or where the essential qualification is not held, a minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative role is required.
