This role provides an opportunity to protect and enhance Orkney’s acclaimed archaeological assets. Working within the Planning Authority in the development of archaeological guidance, the provision of advice and support to the Development Management Team, Developers and Members of the Public.
The successful candidate will work on strategies, projects and funding bids that positively considers the County’s archaeological assets and develop community interest and involvement.
You should be educated to degree level in archaeology, have significant working experience of the archaeological sector. You should be a member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists, or hold the equivalent level of experience/skills to do so to fulfil the requirement to join the CIfA.
