Community Mobile Responder Co-ordinator
17.5 hours per week

£24,504 - £26,876 pro rata (including Distant Islands Allowance)
An opportunity has arisen for a temporary role as Responder Co-ordinator until 31 December 2018.
Working as part of a small highly motivated team, providing high visibility community reassurance you would be responsible for the day to day operational management of two responder teams who work across mainland Orkney on a twenty-four hour, seven day basis to respond to community care alarm callouts and also assist in the prevention of admission to hospital and facilitate discharge. You will require to have assessment skills and approach service delivery using a re-ablement ethos.
To undertake this exciting role you must hold an HNC or SVQ 3 in Care or other relevant qualification to enable registration with the SSSC. You should also have an ability to grasp technical programming of the Telecare equipment. You are required to register with the SSSC in the capacity as supervisor within 6 months of appointment.
This post is subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults.
