Family Support Worker

35 hours per week
Temporary up to 31 October 2022
£24,639 - £26,605 / £27,328 - £29,476 depending on qualification (including shift allowance and Distant Islands Allowance)

A vacancy exists for a family support worker in the Children and Families service within Orkney Health and Care, based at the Council Offices.

You will be providing intensive support to children and their families, maintaining children safely within their families, care placement, community, mainstream school or alternative education and work closely to support young people returning to the community from residential care out-with Orkney.

The post holder will be required to lone work whilst being supported from the Children’s Residential Service.

Qualities required of the successful applicant are a sense of humour, non-judgemental attitude, acceptance of others, confident and good communication skills.
Salary will be dependent on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
