Applications are invited for the full-time vacancy within the Corporate Finance Section for a Finance Officer.
The postholder will work within a busy team supporting the functions of the Corporate Finance Section. The duties of the post includes the processing, validation and reporting of financial information.
You will be an effective team member but will be experienced in managing your own workload. You will deal with financial queries both from stakeholders both within and out with the Council, therefore experience of dealing with people is essential.
The minimum knowledge required for this role can be evidenced by either:
Holding a qualification at SCQF 5/6 i.e., SVQ2, National 5, Standard Grades, O Grade, Intermediate 2, SVQ3, Higher, National Certificate, Foundation Apprenticeship OR having a minimum of 2 years previous relevant experience in a finance or administrative role.
You should have good numerical, communication and organisational skills and have experience of working with finance systems.
