Modern Apprentice – Clerical/Administration, Developing the Young Workforce
35 hours per week
Temporary up to 31 March 2021
£16,044 - £17,322 (including Distant Islands Allowance)
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated young person to undertake a Modern Apprenticeship to provide clerical/administrative support to the Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) programme based at Orkney College UHI.
Applicants must be aged between 16 and 24. You will be required to provide a range of administrative duties including organising meetings and events, fielding phone calls, minute and note taking, along with general administrative duties such as filing and photocopying.
Applicants must hold a minimum of three National 5, equivalent scqf level 5, qualifications to include English, Maths and Business Management/Administration or equivalent subjects. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office, along with experience of working in a busy office environment is also required.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
