Relief Lecturer in Counselling

£20.66 - £24.02 per hour dependent on qualification (including Distant Islands Allowance)

Orkney College UHI is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the above relief role. The role requires specific background and expertise of Counselling and experience of working in Counselling services is required.

In addition to Counselling curriculum, there may also be opportunities to lecture on curricula at FE and HE level across the department, including assessment of student learning needs.

Applicants must be educated to at least degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject area and have recent experience of teaching/supporting others within the area of core skills. Up to date knowledge of best educational practice is also required.

You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
