Social Worker - Fostering, Adoption and Kinship Team

35 hours per week
Permanent
£38,585 - £40,975 (including Distant Islands Allowance)

Orkney Health and Care are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled and experienced Social Worker to join the Fostering, Adoption and Kinship Team. The successful candidate will be required to provide a professional social work service for the recruitment, training, assessment, supervision and support of foster carers, adopters and permanency related work. You will be part of a supportive team of social work staff based at the Council Offices in Kirkwall. We will provide regular reflective supervision on an individual basis and small group supervision.

All qualified social workers in Orkney Health and Care are required to undertake out of hours standby duty on a rota basis. You will hold a relevant social work qualification and registration with SSSC.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children and adults.
