Property Services provide professional services for the development and maintenance of a significant portfolio of public buildings including secondary, primary and nursery schools, residential homes, offices, day care facilities, civic buildings and other facilities. The Division draws together all the key elements of building operational management and construction, design and procurement. The Compliance Team deal with a complex array of servicing and maintenance contracts to ensure legal health & safety compliance across the entire operational (non-domestic) estate and assist in informing the Planned Maintenance programmes. The team requires additional support to ensure that the current programme of Electrical Planned Preventative Maintenance is achieved. This will be a challenging role within a dynamic multi-disciplinary Office. Duties will include arranging and managing electrical inspections, reviewing reports from the appointed contractor(s), interpreting results and facilitating and managing any remedial works. Check and validate contractor applications for payment. Ensuring the maintenance of accurate records for all property compliance works providing data, performance indicators and reports as required including maintaining a property asset register.
Requirements
Are you a time served Electrician, or have similar experience working in an electrical building services role, looking for a permanent position with excellent benefits? We would welcome applicants who can demonstrate that they are dedicated to working to a high standard and provide excellent customer service. To undertake the role, we require excellent planning and organisational skills along with the ability to ensure target deadlines are achieved. Supervisory skills are required as the post holder will be responsible for assisting with the management of contractors. You must hold a current driving licence. A good working knowledge in the use of computer packages including Microsoft applications. A good understanding of electrical regulations to ensure properties remain compliant. Training to the 18th edition BS 7671 regulations would be preferable. Working as part of a team you will assist in the management of our planned preventative maintenance and electrical fixed wiring testing and inspection programmes.
