An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Depute Wraparound Care Coordinator at Inch View Wraparound Care.
The post is 20 hrs per week, Term time only and the working hours will be 2pm to 6pm, on a temporary contract until 31 December 2022
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to step into the profession and progress a career in childcare, gaining experience while working in the childcare environment.
As a Depute you will assist in the provision of high quality play experiences within the Wraparound Care service. Undertake planned, focused observations in the setting and use these to further develop curriculum plans and activities. Contribute to the maintenance of accurate child records, registration, and attendance information. Provide high quality care and a comprehensive range of appropriate stimulating and creative activities, for example arts and crafts, storytelling, den building, physical play appropriate to the needs and interests of the children in the service, aged from 3 - 12 years.
You would be expected to work within a team contributing to children's learning and development within a safe and inclusive environment in a registered childcare service.
A flexible approach to working conditions will be required as you will be required to work. The contracted hours are 20 hours per week, after school term-time 2pm to 6pm
You should hold a Practitioner Qualification e.g. SNNEB, NNEB, HNC, SCQF level 7 equivalent or SVQ 3 in Childcare and Education or SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People), as well as have the eligibility to register with SSSC within 6 months of appointment.
We are looking for an individual who has a genuine interest and commitment to working with children in a professional capacity within early learning or a childcare environment.
The role is child focused which requires sensitivity, patience and compassion along with a welcoming approach to generate a feeling of trust and safety for children and their family / carers. A genuine interest in the development of children and their wellbeing is essential and the important qualities are kindness, sensitivity, respectfulness, and good manners and to respect confidentiality at all times.
