Fleet Workshop Apprentice HGV Mechanic
4 years fixed term, Friarton Depot, Perth
Do you have basic an interest in a career within the motor industry? Are you aged 16 – 19? If you answered yes to these questions then an Apprentice HGV Mechanic / Technician with Perth & Kinross Council could be just what you have been looking for.
The Apprenticeship within Fleet Management will be for a fixed term of 4 years where you will learn the practical side of the training within the Perth & Kinross Workshop based at Friarton.
The successful candidate will also be required to attend college and obtain an SVQ/NVQ in HGV Automotive Engineering.
Applicants should have a basic knowledge and demonstrate an interest in a future career within the motor industry.
Successful candidates who have been short listed will be required to complete an analytical & numerical analysis test along with a practical workshop assessment.
How else could you learn on the job, receive invaluable practical experience and work towards an industry-recognised vocational qualification, whilst getting paid?
Whilst not essential a UK driving licence will be advantageous.
