Pupil Support Assistant, Resolve - Inclusion Project (Fixed Term until 30 June 2022) - PKC07605
£13,591 - £14,605 (30 Hours per week, Term-time only)

At Perth Academy we have a sector-leading inclusion programme called Resolve. Resolve is an alternative to exclusion but the programme also runs a number of other activities such as preventative work 1:1 and group work, soft start, life skills.

As Pupil Support Assistant you will:

  • Assist in the establishment of appropriate targets for young people accessing the Resolve Programme.
  • Support the development and delivery of preventative work with small and targeted groups of young people at risk of exclusion.
  • Foster and establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders eg school support staff, teachers, parents, support agencies, youth services etc.
  • Provide input at support meetings for targeted young people.
  • Undertake other duties as required by the Head Teacher .

The Individual

The role requires a restorative, compassionate practitioner who is positive and solution-focused, who understands and has experience of engaging and working successfully with young people who require additional suppport. You will work in close collaboration with the Inclusion Project Officer who leads the programme in engaging with those young people and families in need of support.
