Colonsay Resource Centre, Perth
A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Practitioner in our busy front line statutory child care social work team. The team works within parts of Perth City and surrounding areas.
This post will require you to have responsibility for cases with high levels of need and/or Risk, the complexity of which requires considerable social work experience and advanced knowledge and skills.
As Senior Practitioner you will also be responsible, along with the Team Leader, for the improvement agenda and team plans. You will be required to supervise Senior Social Care Officers, support staff development, manage cases and when required, deputise for the Team Leader.
You will be a qualified Social Worker with significant post-qualifying experience.
You will be well-organised, able to prioritise and manage competing demands.
The role will also require you to be assertive and clear in your communication.
You will be able to demonstrate high standards in written reports and have a clear understanding of the needs of vulnerable children and families.
You will have a commitment to continuous professional development and have, or be willing to work towards, your Graduate Certificate in Child Welfare and Protection.
