An exciting opportunity has arisen in the North Locality Social Work Team for a part time permanent Social Worker. The base for this post is in Blairgowrie and the successful candidate will work with adults requiring a Social Work Service across North Perthshire. You will work with a range of partner agencies and services in various settings to support service users. In this role, duties include: carrying out Outcome Focussed Assessments, the negotiation of flexible packages of care and the monitoring and reviewing of individual care packages. Responsibilities will also include statutory work under the Adults with Incapacity Act and the Adult Support and Protection Act. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly dedicated team, with excellent training, supervision and development opportunities provided. You must hold a recognised Social Work Qualification (Degree in Social Work, DIPSW, CQSW, CSS or other relevant Social Work qualification) and be registered as a Social Worker with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) or within 6 months of commencing employment and will be further responsible for maintaining your annual membership.A driving licence and access to a vehicle for work is essential for this post.
This post may be suitable for candidates who have recently completed their Social Work Degree but have not yet graduated. In this circumstance, a Social Work Assistant contract will be offered until you receive your qualifying certificate and are eligible to register with the SSSC as a Social Worker.
