Supply Pupil Support Assistants (PKC03584)
£9.15 per hour
Various Locations within Perth & Kinross
Pupil Support Assistants work in a variety of settings with children and young people who have additional support needs, under the direction of teachers and senior managers. Some work may be school based whilst other support may involve active learning in different settings. Additional support needs encompass children with complex needs and include those with challenging behaviour.
Casual work may require candidates to work in different locations across Perth and Kinross Council and across any sector (nursery, primary, secondary and specialist). Please note if candidates wish to work in a nursery setting they will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
We are particularly interested in candidates that can work in the Aberfeldy, Pitlochry, Auchterarder and Perth areas.
Candidates should have experience (paid/voluntary) of supporting children and young people with additional support needs. Empathy, patience, and an ability to engage with children and young people are essential. Candidates with an interest in music, art/craft, sport and outdoor activities are encouraged to apply.
Successful candidates will be placed on a supply register for availability of work from October/November 2017.
