Strathearn & Kinross Children's Services Team, The Community School of Auchterarder
This position of Team Leader is in a front line Children Services team. The team covers the Strathearn and Kinross area of Perthshire and works with vulnerable children and families who are in need of support and protection.
You will be responsible for a team of Social Workers, Senior Social Care Officers and a Senior Practitioner. You will be responsible for the overall management of the team and their caseloads.
As Team Leader, you will also be responsible for the improvement agenda, building and retaining community relations with partner agencies and have the ability to develop your team plans to meet the necessary improvement goals.
You will be a qualified Social Worker with significant experience in child care social work.
You will have supervisory experience in a front line capacity.
You will have the ability to oversee and guide best practice in relation to keeping vulnerable children as safe and as supported as possible.
You will have the capacity to develop and instil a team ethos which encourages commitment to improvement and best practice.
You will be able to support the team and implement any changes that are necessary in conjunction with the team.
You will need to be flexible, supportive and approachable.
You will be able to identify and manage the stresses that will come with the responsibilities of a Team Leader post in front-line child care services.
A Child Protection Certificate is necessary for this post.
