Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership are looking for 2 individuals with vision and drive to manage Renfrew and Montrose Care Home and Day Care Centre in Paisley.  These are 60 place residential care service based in two modern high quality, person centred, care environments in the Paisley area. Montrose Care Home also has a 32 place Day Centre attached to the complex. The Partnership is looking for candidates to lead the development of these high performing residential care services. Renfrew and Montrose Care Home are key parts of the community services for older people who are frail or who have dementia and live in the Renfrewshire area.

 

You must hold either an SVQ4 in Social Care plus a Registered Management Award or a Diploma in Social Work or a relevant Nursing Qualification or equivalent.  Evidence of professional development is desirable but not essential.  It is essential that you have supervisory skills and previous experience in a management role.  You will have experience of multi-agency working and working with older people, partner organisations, carers and local communities. Experience of working with people with particular needs such as dementia is desirable but not essential.  

 

It is essential that you have knowledge of; residential standards, including National Care Standards; knowledge of operations, health and personal care, finance, staffing and personnel, health and safety and public reactions relevant to the service.  

 

You will have autonomy in the management of the Home’s residential care service, all within agreed policies and guidelines therefore you must be self-motivated and able to identify opportunities to develop new initiatives. You will be committed to continuous professional training and development and have effective communication skills, both verbal and written.  You will have effective organisational skills and the ability to communicate a clear sense of direction and leadership.

 

It is important that you can demonstrate empathy and ability to build relations with service users and their families; have experience in managing care plans and reviews and of working to a high standard with individuals and groups.
