Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership are delighted to seek applications for a Commissioning Officer to join our Contracts and Commissioning Team. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is fully committed to delivering positive outcomes for people who use Social Care services in Renfrewshire.

 

 

The post will support the planning and implementation of the strategic commissioning of social care services including the development of strategic commissioning and market facilitation plans.  You must have effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to prioritise your workload; work as part of a team as well as on your own.

 

 

It is essential that you have a knowledge of the Social Care sector and the Strategic Commissioning Cycle. Reporting to the Senior Commissioning Officer, you will be able to demonstrate the ability to maintain effective working relationships on behalf of the HSCP with service providers and other key stakeholders.

 

 

You will be Educated to HNC/SVQ3 as a minimum or be able to demonstrate or be able to demonstrate relevant professional experience. You will provide specialist knowledge and advice to partners, building an understanding of the commissioning process; services available; setting service specifications; risk and care planning processes; constraints in relation to service provision, and, contribute to the development and operation of quality services.

 

 

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG).
