We are looking for a creative and dynamic Performance Programmer to join Renfrewshire Leisure’s Arts Team, to develop an ambitious programme of performances and events across Paisley Arts Centre and Paisley Town Hall reopening in 2023, manage and develop the 2022 Programme and develop the highest national profile.

 

The Performance Programmer will have and develop excellent relationships with artists, producers, promoters, theatre and dance companies and musicians, be able to communicate the programme vision to colleagues and negotiate financial deals to maximise ticket income across the venues.

 

We are looking for someone who can support artists, develop excellent collaborative relationships with national companies as well as contribute creatively to projects the Arts Team and colleagues are leading on such as the Paisley Book Festival and Renfrewshire’s Cycle Arts Festival.

 

The Arts Team is composed of Project Producers, Programmers, Outreach Workers and Development Officers working with a host of local and national partners and co-producers. Working to your own initiative and a being brilliant team player will be essential in the role.

 

As we emerge from the COVID pandemic, Renfrewshire remains committed to regeneration through culture. With a £100 million investment in Paisley and Renfrewshire’s cultural infrastructure, there has rarely been a better opportunity to join an arts team anywhere in Scotland. The £4.2 million Arts Legacy Programme will support the Arts Team to deliver a range of innovative, multi-disciplinary projects building new audiences, fostering cultural participation, and placing Renfrewshire on the cultural map.

 

This role may also involve programming occasionally for Renfrew and Johnstone Town Halls as well as public spaces, and other venues.
