Based at Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley.

Working as part of the multi disciplinary City Deal and Infrastructure Team, sitting within Chief Executive Services, you will manage specific projects within the City Deal & Infrastructure programme all designed to continue growth in confidence and economic recovery within Renfrewshire and the wider City Region area. The team is responsible for delivery of the City Deal Programme, the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Programme, the Cultural Infrastructure Programme and is also involved in a number of related projects.

Almost £40 million funding (90% of project costs) has been awarded to now take forward another significant project, AMIDS South, which will provide a 1.7km ‘gateway route’ along the White Cart river with a network of road, cycling and walking links from Paisley town centre train station and bus interchange to Glasgow Airport, AMIDS and onto Inchinnan. The project includes landscaping as well as a new bridge crossing around Paisley Harbour for pedestrians, cyclists and road traffic. AMIDS South is a high-impact local transport scheme which will reduce carbon emissions, improve air quality, cut congestion, support economic growth and improve the experience of transport users.

You will be involved in a number of projects but in particular will take a leading role in the development and delivery of the AMIDS South project, which requires delivery within a defined and tight timeframe. You will also provide advice and mentoring to junior team members to help develop their skills and experience and work on a collaborative basis with the other project managers and wider multi disciplinary team members.

You will have a track record of financial management of projects with significant budgets and be able to allocate and manage risk. You will possess effective interpersonal and written communication skills and an ability to listen, engage and persuade and to present complex information in an accessible and engaging way to a range of audiences.

You will have effective project management skills with the ability to form positive relationships at all levels contributing to the team ethos.
