Based at Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley.

We are looking for an innovative, dynamic and experienced leader to join our Children’s Services team and lead on the implementation of The Independent Care Review – Renfrewshire’s Promise.

You will work as part of our management and leadership team influencing transformational change across Renfrewshire as we strive to improve the lives of our care experienced children, young people and young adults. You will be a member of the Children’s Services Senior Leadership team but the role will involve extensive close partnership working as we strive to implement the key messages from The Promise in Renfrewshire.

As operations manager leading on the Promise you will be committed to improving the impact and outcomes for our care experienced community as we strive to make system change that removes barriers and stigma. You will be responsible for driving forward an ambitious programme of change across multiple services. You will be supported by our Promise Ambassador. You will also work closely with The Promise Scotland Team, the Design Academy as well as other local and national partners to drive forward our ambitions in relation The Promise. #keepthepromise.

It is essential that you have a degree level qualification e.g. CQSW, Diploma in Social Work, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and experience at a senior level in local government or related organisation. You will also have specific knowledge of current and relevant legislation, guidance and procedures relating to Children’s Services.

It is desirable that you have experience in the management and co-ordination of strategic objectives of a large organisation.
