There’s never been a better time to join Renfrewshire Council. Our Better Council Change Programme is changing how we work, shaping a dynamic, adaptable and outward looking organisation that works more effectively with our partners to make a lasting difference to quality of life in our community. The Council has an ambitious agenda to deliver for Renfrewshire, from major regeneration programmes including the Glasgow and Clyde Valley City Deal, through to an innovative partnership led tackling poverty programme as well as supporting the successful delivery of Health and Social Care integration and delivering the wider Public Protection agenda.
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced policy professional to lead the Council’s corporate and service level policy development function, ensuring it meets the strategic needs of senior officers and elected members. Key responsibilities of the function include leading local activities relating to performance management, service improvement planning, best value, consultation and engagement and self-evaluation amongst others.
