Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership

Strategic Service Improvement Manager (permanent)

Grade 15: £65,900/£69,751.42

Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley.

The delivery of health and social care services continues to adapt and transform to meet the needs of people in Renfrewshire.   This is taking place within a highly fluid and changing policy context as we continue to implement recovery plans and meet increasing demand within available budgets, whilst also awaiting further developments in relation to the creation of a National Care Service.

To support this critical work, we are seeking to recruit a Strategic Service Improvement Manager, who will assist the HSCP in taking forward this agenda.  The postholder will play a key role in defining and influencing the HSCP’s approach to meeting current challenges and capitalising on opportunities to reform our services. You will enable our services to identify and implement complex service change to improve the services provided across Renfrewshire.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Planning and Health Improvement, you will be a key member of the HSCP’s Senior Management Team and will have responsibility for leading our successful Change and Improvement Team, alongside having strategic responsibility for the partnership’s approach to digital change.

As the successful candidate, you will have strong experience of developing and delivering large programmes and projects, with related qualifications, and will be comfortable working with a range of senior stakeholders across sectors to reform services to ensure they are sustainable, fit for the future and support people who use our services to meet their outcomes. You will provide specialist change expertise, professional advice and guidance as the HSCP adopts new systems, processes and ways of working and be able to maximise the contribution of, and linkages between, these activities and the IJB’s strategic, workforce and medium-term financial plans.

As a line manager, you will have strong experience of leading and influencing teams and colleagues.  You will be able to evidence your ability to develop others and support the ongoing development of colleagues.

You will be able to provide strong and dynamic leadership to motivate staff, senior colleagues and stakeholders through the change process, gaining commitment to progress to ensure the timely and effective delivery of service changes and develop and sustain relationships with individuals at all levels in the organisation (both internal and external).  You will also be comfortable with ambiguity and in navigating uncertain situations, reflecting the complexity resulting from current circumstances.

If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post. If you would like further information in relation to the Disclosure Scotland checks, please visit www.disclosurescotland.co.uk.

Interviews will be held week commencing 19 and 26 June 2023.
