Role Purpose

Are you an outstanding communications professional? Are you looking for your next role, and want a real challenge? If so, you could be our new Communications & Marketing Manager.

Expect to develop and bring to life an ambitious communications strategy that really will support the delivery of our Council plan. You will lead on the development of our work through social media, by reaching customers and growing our social media reach and impact, whilst all the time promoting the Council’s work.

As well as a strong track record in communications, you will bring substantial experience of both internal and external communications. Demonstrating a participatory approach, you will work closely with elected Members and the leadership team to develop innovative, targeted, and relevant ways to communicate to our many internal and external audiences.

A degree level qualification in communications and marking or an associated discipline.


Substantive demonstrable relevant experience within a similar role delivering communication strategies and using a variety of communication channels


Knowledgeable in strategic communications planning methodology, leading edge practices, trends and information
