Role Purpose

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our diverse Property team, overseeing the efficient day to day operating of building services within our properties. You will also be responsible for developing and project managing our ambitious Energy Efficiency programme.

You will be self motivated with Degree or other appropriate qualifications in an Energy Management or Building Engineering Services discipline and have real world experience of energy management or building services engineering.

As our energy, renewables and carbon agenda continues to grow, promoting cost effective energy use in Scottish Borders Council’s properties is paramount in the Council’s goal of lowering its energy use and thus its carbon footprint.

You will have a sound knowledge of sustainability “Best Practice” techniques and low carbon technologies. You will have previous experience across commercial sectors on a broad range of services engineering projects.

You will be an excellent communicator, a team player, be able to respond to tight deadlines and work on your own initiative.

Essential

A Degree qualification in a Building Engineering Services or related discipline.

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
