Role Purpose

This post is an exciting, temporary opportunity to work with schools, learners and their families in the primary sector  - Inclusion & Wellbeing Service – Hawick cluster. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and committed team supporting nurturing approaches, inclusive practice and working with children and young people across the Scottish Borders with social & emotional wellbeing needs.  

The Inclusion and Wellbeing service has the main aim of supporting vulnerable Children and Young people in and across the Scottish Borders.  It works in partnership with mainstream schools across the authority. 

We are looking for the right person to join a small team of highly skilled staff dedicated to helping children, young people and their families achieve and succeed.

Essential

No formal qualifications are required, but an acceptable standard of school education is desirable.  Additional Needs Assistants will be required to undertake on the job training as and when available.

Experience of working with children or young people.
