Hourly Rate as follows:

NMW1 £4.62 (age 16-17)

NMW 2 £6.56 (age 18-20)

NMW 3 £8.36 (age 21 -22)

NMW 4, £8.91 (age 23+)

Salary: *£8,431.49 - £16,260.73 per annum *dependant on age.

Contract Duration: Temporary until 28 October 2022





Role Purpose

Modern Apprenticeships (MA) offer the chance of paid employment combined with training relevant to the occupational area. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to achieve an SVQ in Business and Administration while working in the Learning & Development Team: assisting with the commissioning, organisation, promotion and administration of training programmes and events across the Council; managing training event bookings and waiting lists; maintaining training records and acting as a point of contact. The postholder will also be involved in other areas of the team's work as required.

The successful candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills, be confident with IT, as well as being well organised and customer focused. A positive approach and the ability to work independently are vital. 

The role is based at home and at Council HQ as required. The postholder will be provided with the necessary IT equipment by the Council but any other equipment or furniture required for working from home will be the responsibility of the post holder.

Standard grades including English

In accordance with Scottish Borders Councils priorities, you will need to be aged 16-24 (at the point of starting the Apprenticeship) to qualify for this position.
