Role Purpose

Scottish Borders Council are seeking reliable LGV Class C drivers interested in joining a relief pool to support the Council's Waste & Recycling Collection service. 

Based in Galashiels, working days are between Monday & Friday and start time is 7.30am. 

While there will be a need to cover ad-hoc days at fairly short-notice, it is anticipated that there will be opportunities for full time hours during weeks to cover staff holidays, etc.

This advert will remain open during July, August & September with reviews of applications received taking place regularly and interviews being held as required during this period.

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.*
