Role Purpose

Scottish Borders Council is looking to recruit a Technician to undertake electrical duties for the Street Lighting section within Assets & Infrastructure. The successful applicants will be required to undertake duties relating to the delivery of the Street Lighting Service and will be responsible for electrical work including inspections, testing, supervision of contractors and assistance in the design of new electrical installations.

 

Essential

Scottish Joint Industry Board (SJIB) Graded Electrician
City and Guilds 2330 Parts 1 & 2 or willing to obtain within an agreed timescale of appointment

ERG 39 Course – Scottish Power or willing to obtain within an agreed timescale of appointment

IPAF Type 1b or willing to obtain within an agreed timescale of appointment

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
