Hourly Rate:  £9.71 - £10.74
Salary:  £17,732.96 - £19,612.71 per annum
Contract Duration:  Temporary 12 month contract

Role Purpose

To provide support and advice to customers on waste related issues. Work in conjunction with waste operations staff to ensure customer service is maintained and that waste collections are carried out as effectively and efficiently as possible in line with SBC polices and guidance. Also to carry out tasks and project work to support the implementation of and delivery of the Borders Integrated Waste Management Strategy and agreed service changes, by providing customer support, carrying out awareness raising works, gathering and analysing statistics, and work with local organisations.


Minimum of 3 Standard Grades at level 1, 2, 3 (or equivalent), including English
Or equivalent relevant experience, knowledge and skills necessary to undertake the role.

Previous working experience in an environment with customers.
Experience of dealing with a wide variety of professionals, groups and individuals.
Experience of prioritising own workloads and ability to respond quickly to deal with periods of increased demand.
