Job Description

What is the role?

South Ayrshire are seeking a dynamic, forward thinking, self motivated individual to take the lead in enhancing the development of a high quality continuum of mental health supports to assist young people and their families. The successful candidate will:

Contribute to the delivery of strategic plans and co-ordinate a range of high-quality services which ensure continuous improvement and efficiency and which drive transformational change by promoting a positive organisational culture of empowerment, innovation and change.

Work alongside the mental health and well being strategy group in planning for and evaluating young people’s access to mental health support.

Provide advice to the Principal Educational Psychologist on areas of development and to develop solutions with budgetary constraints.

Lead the design, development and framework  in developing a full and seamless continuum of community based supports and services for young people’s mental health and well being.

The Grade of this post is Grade 4 / level 13 the hourly rate is from £25.76 to £27.36 and the annual salary is from £47, 012 - £49, 932. This post is temporary until 30 June 2023.
Interviews for this post have been scheduled for  Monday 31 August 2020.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
