Job Description

What is the role?

With delegated authority from the Quality Improvement Manager or their representative, provide the leadership and management required to plan, develop, implement, monitor, evaluate and improve the Council’s strategy to meet the needs of children and young people with additional support needs and improve their educational outcomes.

Share and take forward an ambitious strategic vision of inclusive practice for universal, targeted and specialist support which meets the needs of all learners, including the most vulnerable and the most able learners.

The Grade of this post is DHT4 and the annual salary is £57,657. 

This post is temporary until 30 June 2023.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
