What is the role?
The Communication Support Base in Doonfoot Primary School is a local authority provision for South Ayrshire Council, providing additional support for up 26 children with autism. Doonfoot also has 2 outreach teachers who support schools in an advisory role.
This fantastic opportunity is open to qualified teachers with significant experience supporting children with complex needs. As Depute Head Teacher you will have leadership and management responsibility for a team of teachers and school assistants supporting young people within the bases and within mainstream classes. A key part of this role will be to liaise with a range of external agencies such as social work, educational psychologists, and outreach teams to develop appropriate curriculum pathways for all of our young people.

The Grade of this post is DHT3 and the annual salary is £52,935.
