Job Description

What is the job role?

This dynamic organisation, an independent charity, promotes energy efficiency awareness and renewable energy in the domestic, business and community sectors throughout South West Scotland.

The Energy Agency is committed to reducing our own energy, water and materials waste, thereby improving our overall efficiency.

The Energy Agency has held the contract to manage the Home Energy Scotland advice centre (previously known as Energy Saving Scotland advice centre) for South West Scotland since 2008. This is part of a Scotland wide network of centres, funded by the Scottish Government and managed by the Energy Saving Trust.

Home Energy Scotland south west covers the local authority areas of North, South and East Ayrshire and Dumfries & Galloway.

Providing impartial advice assisting community organisations develop ideas, apply for funding and deliver projects and initiatives that maximise local benefit from local energy and renewables.

Extra information

The Grade of this post is Grade 2 / Level 7, the hourly rate is from £15.12 to £15.57 and the annual salary is from £27,594 to £28,415. Please note this post is temporary in the first instance until 31 March 2023, with a possibility of being extended.

The standard working week is 35 hours Monday to Friday.  There are occasional requirements to work evenings or weekends, time off in lieu will be granted for these.
