Job Description

What is the role?

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and dynamic individual with an excellent track record in school leadership and improving outcomes for young people, combined with outstanding interpersonal skills to lead Belmont Academy. Belmont Academy is a non-denominational school situated in Ayr with a roll of around 1200 young people. The school has a culture of ambition, high expectations and achievement for all young people.

The Grade of this post is HT16 and the annual salary is £86,970.

The assessment centre for this post is scheduled to take place on 28 October 2021 and interviews on 2 November 2021.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
