Job Description

What is the role?

Monkton Primary School and Early Years Centre is located in the village of Monkton which is approximately two miles from the town of Prestwick.  It is part of the Prestwick Academy cluster. The catchment area includes the village and surrounding rural area.

The new school building was opened in 2008 and offers a bright and stimulating learning environment for children.  In 2017 a seventh classroom was built within the school in response to the growing role and future developments planned for Monkton.

It is a non-denominational school with a role of approximately 126. The Early Years Centre currently has 36 children attending across the morning and afternoon sessions.  All children live in SIMD 5 and 6. FME is just below 10%.
