Responsible for the safe crossing of pedestrians across roads to and from schools.

The Grade of this post is Grade 1 / Level 2 and the hourly rate is £7.71 - £8.43 and the annual salary, adjusted to a term time working pattern is from £1,779 to £2,014.
In addition, please note that South Ayrshire Council applies the Scottish Local Government Living Wage for its workforce.  This means that the minimum hourly rate for South Ayrshire Council employees will be £9.07 and as this post currently attracts an hourly rate of less than £9.07, the difference will be paid as a pay supplement.  This supplement will also be paid on hours worked beyond 37 per week and will be included in the calculation of any allowance based on a proportion of the hourly rate e.g., outwith core and night working.  The supplement will decrease in direct proportion to any increase in basic pay and will be subject to tax, national insurance and where appropriate, pension contributions.
  
This post is considered to be Regulated Work with adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
