Job Description

What is the role?

Under the direction of the Service Lead - Revenue & Benefits co-ordinate the delivery of an effective Social Care finance support service encompassing the administration of:  Corporate Appointee/ Access to Funds, Non-residential care billing, Self-Directed Support & Residential Care financial assessments.

This involves managing a very busy team of up to 25 staff who provide support to customers who access services in our Health & Social Care partnership (HSCP), with regard to financial assessments for both residential & non residential care and Self Directed Support. We also maintain our Corporate Appointee’s financial arrangements.  We work very closely with colleagues in the HSCP & our Corporate Finance team providing detailed financial information to support budget monitoring, and statistics as well as ensuring compliance with the relevant government guidelines.

Extra information:

The Grade of this post is Grade 4 / Level 12 and the hourly rate is from £24.16 to £25.64.  This post is being offered on a 17.5hrs or 21hrs basis (your preference can be discussed at interview), and the annual salaries are as follows:

  • 17.5hrs - £22,046 to £23,397
  • 21hrs - £26,455 to £28,076

The work pattern is Mon/Tues or Mon/Tues Alternate Fri, subject to agreement with the successful candidate
