Job Description

What is the role?

To train as a Sport and Active Leisure Modern Apprentice and develop the required level of skills, knowledge, experience, and competence during a 12-month apprenticeship programme. 

Our Modern Apprenticeship Programme offers the opportunity to gain an SVQ Level 2 (SCQF Level 5) in Sports and Active Leisure.  There are 3 separate areas you can apply for. Below are details of these and what your duties will be –

  • Leisure Attendant - Assisting and supporting members of staff supervising the pool side. Pool side maintenance, cleaning the facility for use and providing excellent customer service
  • Coaching Assistant – Assisting and supporting members of staff with the coaching of - Gymnastics, Swimming and Diving. The set-up and dismantling of equipment and furniture. Cleaning the facility for use and providing excellent customer service
  • Gym Attendant - Assisting and supporting members of staff within the gym. Cleaning the facility for use and providing excellent customer service
  • You may also be involved in a range of Modern Apprentice challenges to further develop your skills
