Greenhills Road / A726 Strathaven Road Corridor Improvement Project
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and committed individual to join our Roads Design and Contracts Team. This is an exciting time for South Lanarkshire as some major transport infrastructure projects are being undertaken as part of the Glasgow City Region City Deal.
The successful applicant will be required to carry out the role of Project Manager under the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract. They will drive the management of the contract through the processes built into the contract to deliver the project within the established time and within budget. The Project Manager will co-ordinate and manage the activities of the Client site team in liaison with the Supervisor, while reporting and discussing actions required with the Roads and Transportation Management team.
The successful candidate shall have, as a minimum, 5 years experience actively managing NEC contracts in excess of £5m in the roads and transportation field, preferably be an accredited NEC3 Project Manager, have a good knowledge of the NEC processes and the ability to drive them forward, have good communication skills, and be able to lead the site team. They must have a HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent in a relevant subject, and ideally you should be an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer.
