Location: Montrose House, Montrose Crescent, Hamilton, ML3 6LB

Hours: 35 hours per week  -  Fixed term for 23 months
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and committed individual to join our Roads Design and Contracts Team.  This is an exciting time for South Lanarkshire as some major transport infrastructure projects are being undertaken as part of the Glasgow City Region City Deal.

The successful applicant will be required to work as part of the Client’s site team to monitor progress of the works on site, consider the implications of early warnings / compensation events on the progress and programme and keep the contractual programme updated on a daily basis.  They shall work with the Contractor’s staff to ensure the contractual programme is maintained and all changes, additions and progress are properly recorded and monitored.

 The successful candidate shall have, as a minimum, 5 years experience in contract programming requirements of the NEC Engineering and Construction Contract, have a good knowledge of the NEC processes, have good communication skills, be able to work as part of the Client site team and with the Contractor’s site team, and have experience in using MS project and other programming software.  They must have a HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent in a relevant subject, and ideally you should be an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer. This is largely a site based position.
