SEEMiS Group is a unique software development organisation, owned and managed by all 32 Scottish Local Authorities delivering a national Education Management Information System (MIS). As such all 32 local authority student data is processed and managed by SEEMiS.
Working closely with its members and strategic bodies responsible for the direction of Education in Scotland, the organisation is charged with developing and continually improving its Products and Services to support Local Authorities and associated schools to deliver statutory and discretionary responsibilities.
We are looking to recruit a number of highly motivated Software Developers, with a range of knowledge and experience, to work alongside our in-house teams.
Whether assigned to project Delivery teams or BAU support team, using Agile development techniques, you will be involved in the design, development, test and documentation of both new and enhanced services.
Candidates must have experience of Java software development preferably with Java OCA / OCP certification. Knowledge and experience of Microsoft SQL Server and Object Oriented programming is also desirable.
