You will be part of the Children and Justice Services Management Team and will be responsible for the management of a team of Children and Justice Service's Throughcare Social Work staff to provide a direct Social Work Service and provide professional support and supervision to staff.
Based within the new Justice Throughcare team this is an opportunity for either an experienced social worker/practitioner or an existing manager who wishes to extend their knowledge and experience to lead this new team.
The role involves the need for effective liaison with prisons, parole board, courts and other criminal justice stakeholders to establish, develop and maintain effective supervision of service users in the community. The service will provide a reliable and quality professional service to service users and their families.
The priorities for the manager will be to deliver a quality service through supervision and support of the team and by managing the local office budgets. You will manage the staff involved in the assessment and supervision of throughcare licenses and voluntary throughcare, ensuring appropriate standards and safe, reliable enforcement being mindful of public protection
Regular supervision is provided by the Operations Manager and full support will be offered to the post holder by the Children and Justice Services Management Team.
All applicants must be registered with Scottish Social Services Council and hold a Degree in Social Work qualification or equivalent.
