South Lanarkshire Council are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, self motivated Environmental Health Officer as a Divisional Environmental Services Officer who can accept and tackle demanding goals to ensure effective service delivery. The successful candidate will be able to meet the competency requirements detailed in the Public Health etc. (Scotland) Act 2008 Designation of Competent Persons Regulations 2009.
The successful candidate will be responsible developing and driving forward the public health, private sector housing and animal welfare licensing activities of Environmental Services’ functions. Monitoring service performance will be a key element of the role.
The successful applicant will manage the Public Health & Housing team which delivers the Council’s statutory duties in relation to public health, private sector housing (including private water supplies) and animal welfare licensing.
