An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Council’s Learning and Development Team. We are looking to recruit a fulltime staff development officer to support the learning and development needs of employees in adult social care.
We are looking for someone who is passionate and committed to the services supporting vulnerable people in South Lanarkshire and to the learning of the employees who work in them.

You will join a committed team that works closely with Social Work and the South Lanarkshire Health & Social Care partnership to provide a range of professional learning opportunities designed to ensure employees keep up to date with their statutory requirements and fulfil their potential as South Lanarkshire employees.

As a result we are looking for someone with a flexible approach, strong communication skills and a willingness to embrace virtual and e learning. Applicants should have experience in the learning and development environment at a minimum. In addition, knowledge, and experience of at least one of the following areas of work is expected:
o Adult social care
o Vocational qualification provision
