Job Description

Duration: Fixed term until 31 March 2024

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture is looking to recruit a Programme Development Officer to assist and support SLLCs Sport and Physical Activity team to develop, implement and deliver a range of physical  activity, sport, health and well-being programmes which aim to engage local communities and encourage participation in these programmes on a regular basis.

This will involve building relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders involved in these programmes.

 

Requirements

This post is excepted in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 2003. 

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007.

Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by South Lanarkshire Council. The fee for joining the PVG scheme is £59 and the fee for a PVG scheme update is £18. Candidates will be responsible for covering the cost of the relevant PVG check.
