Job Description

Stirling Council is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Transport Development Team as an Active and Sustainable Travel Officer. This position presents an exciting opportunity to be part of the team transforming Stirling's future through the City Deal by being an integral part in a modal shift to active and sustainable travel. Therefore, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate their commitment to the promotion of active and sustainable travel. The key responsibilities of this role will be to assist in developing the Council's Active and Sustainable Travel policies and proposals, as well as providing active and sustainable travel policy input to the Council and its partners policies and functions. You will: be educated to a relevant degree or HND level or equivalent; be able to demonstrate experience of successful partnership working; have an understanding of local travel, urban design and regeneration issues; be committed to the promotion of active and sustainable travel; have the ability to take forward project work with minimum supervision; be able to work well with others; and be highly motivated and have the ability to motivate others.
